Finally, after about two years of delay, the long-awaited Abuja-Kaduna rail line service is gradually becoming a reality with the on-going test-run. The contract for the 187-kilometre standard gauge line was awarded in 2011 to a Chinese construction company, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) while the $849million loan for the project was obtained from the China EXIM Bank.
